The Internet Economy Comes To Main Street
June 1, 2000 Conference The Internet Economy
What does the Internet economy look like once you're outside of Route 128? This conference will address how regions outside large metropolitan areas can benefit from the Internet economy. Three themes will be explored: 1) How non-metro areas can incubate high-impact, high growth Internet businesses. 2) How existing "Main Street" retailers, manufacturers and others should tap into the Internet Economy. 3) The impact of the Web on the regional economy and landscape. For example, what will happen to our downtown areas as more retail shopping occurs online? Hear what great Internet entrepreneurs, VC's, business and economic development leaders and media-types have to say. The Internet Economy Comes to Main Street invites entrepreneurs, corporate executives, venture capitalists, policy makers, regional planners, academics and concerned citizens to attend this important event on June 13, in Northampton and Springfield, Mass.
